Hi, my name is Josh Slater-Williams and I’m a UK-based freelance culture writer whose work mostly focuses on film, music and TV.
I have contributed to a wide variety of outlets and institutions, including the BFI, Sight & Sound, Variety, Little White Lies, IndieWire, SciFiNow, HUCK, The Skinny, The Line of Best Fit, MUBI Notebook, Locarno Festival, Glasgow Film Theatre, Cinema Scope, The Film Stage, VODzilla.co, Vague Visages, and others in both print and online.
I have also dabbled in broadcast journalism with various podcast co-host and guest stints, including collaborations with The Curzon Film Podcast, The Cinematologists, Mousterpiece Cinema, Sordid Cinema, and the They Shot Pictures podcast.
In 2018, I was one of six international applicants chosen for the Critics Academy at the Locarno Festival.
