Hi, my name is Josh Slater-Williams and I’m a UK-based culture writer whose work mostly focuses on film, music and TV.
I have contributed to a wide variety of outlets and institutions, including the BFI, Sight & Sound, Variety, Little White Lies, The Face, IndieWire, SciFiNow, Polygon, Hyperallergic, Huck, Another Man, The Skinny, The List, Filmmaker, The Line of Best Fit, MUBI Notebook, Kinoscope, Locarno Film Festival, Glasgow Film Theatre, VODzilla.co, and others in both print and online.
I have introduced film screenings for the London Korean Film Festival and programming collective Rochester Kino.
I have also dabbled in broadcast journalism with various podcast co-host and guest stints, including collaborations with The Curzon Film Podcast, The Cinematologists, Mousterpiece Cinema, Sordid Cinema, and the They Shot Pictures podcast.
In 2018, I was one of six international applicants chosen for the Critics Academy at the Locarno Festival.
I am available for all commissions and in-office shifts, as well as events and programming opportunities. I also have experience with editing and social media.
