Hi, my name is Josh Slater-Williams and I’m a UK-based freelance culture writer whose work mostly focuses on film and TV.

I have contributed to a wide variety of outlets and institutions, including the BFI, Sight & Sound, Variety, Little White Lies, IndieWire, SciFiNow, HUCK, The Skinny, MUBI Notebook, Locarno Festival, Glasgow Film Theatre, Cinema Scope, The Film Stage, VODzilla.co, Vague Visages, and others in both print and online.

I have also dabbled in broadcast journalism with various podcast co-host and guest stints, including collaborations with The Curzon Film Podcast, The Cinematologists, Mousterpiece Cinema, Sordid Cinema, and the They Shot Pictures podcast.

In 2018, I was one of six international applicants chosen for the Critics Academy at the Locarno Festival.

I am available for all commissions and in-office shifts, as well as events and programming work. I also have experience with editing and social media.

If you’d like to approach me for a commission or query, you can reach me at jslaterwilliams71@gmail.com, or get me on Twitter at @jslaterwilliams.
